Job Description:
Job Summary:
  • Client is seeking a hands-on Pega Lead Developer with strong expertise in Pega Case Management and system integrations.
  • This role combines technical leadership with active development responsibilities.
  • The ideal candidate will design and build high-quality Pega solutions while helping team members, enforcing best practices, and partnering closely with architects, product owners, and integration teams.

Key Responsibilities:
Technical Leadership and Delivery:
  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of Pega applications, with a strong emphasis on case management and workflow orchestration
  • Actively contribute to development (rules, flows, integrations, UI, decisioning) as a hands-on lead, not just oversight
  • Translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable Pega designs
  • Ensure solutions align with Pega Guardrails, performance standards, and enterprise architecture guidelines

Case Management Expertise:
  • Design and implement end-to-end case lifecycles, including stages, steps, SLAs, approvals, and escalations
  • Leverage case types, subcases, spin-offs, and wait shapes effectively
  • Optimize user experience for case workers using Pega UX (sections, views, dashboards)

System Integration:
  • Collaborate with downstream and upstream system teams to define interface contracts
  • Troubleshoot and resolve integration and performance issues

Design and implement integrations using:

  • 5 plus years of Pega platform experience, with significant hands-on development
  • Strong expertise in Pega Case Management
  • Proven experience with Pega system integrations (REST/SOAP, services, connectors)
  • Experience leading or mentoring development teams
  • Pega certifications such as CSSA and/or CLSA

Solid understanding of:
  • Pega rules engine
  • Flow rules, decision tables, data pages
  • Performance tuning and troubleshooting

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Pega Infinity (latest versions preferred)
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for Pega

Required Qualifications:
  • 5 plus years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, education.

Additional:
  • Have a product where they build and maintain multiple internal projects in TCOO, there are 14 apps being supported.
  • This candidate may be assigned to multiple different apps, usually not more than 2 at a time.
  • Will use Pega for workflow automation.
  • Looking for Lead level experience capable of hands on coding with Pega.
  • Team should be able to go to this person for guidance, code review, advice.
  • Are in the middle of the cloud migration, someone with cloud migration experience would be a plus.
  • Have seen a lot of coordinators who haven't been hands on coders.
  • Are not looking for a middleman, need to be able to do the coding work, not people who have managed the team.
  • Finance experience isn't a strong consideration, should be from an enterprise level organization.
