Job description

The Work


The System Architect will assist in designing, configuring, and implementing Pegabased solutions under the guidance of senior team members. This role focuses on developing foundational Pega application components, supporting integrations, troubleshooting entrylevel issues, and continuously learning evolving Pega platform capabilities. The System Architect will work closely with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into functional Pega configurations while adhering to guardrails and best practices.

Key Responsibilities


  • Assist in the design and configuration of Pegabased solutions under the direction of senior architects and developers
  • Develop, configure, and implement basic Pega application components (case types, flows, UI rules, data transforms, simple integrations)
  • Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to understand system specifications, workflow needs, and data requirements
  • Follow Pega guardrails, coding standards, and software engineering best practices throughout the development lifecycle
  • Seek guidance from experienced team members while building independent technical capability
  • Troubleshoot and resolve entrylevel Pega issues; escalate complex problems appropriately
  • Participate in code reviews and apply feedback to improve code quality and maintainability
  • Assist in identifying opportunities to optimize existing processes and leverage new Pega features
  • Support basic integration activities between Pega applications and enterprise systems (REST/SOAP or similar connectors)
  • Stay current on evolving Pega platform features, tools, and frameworks to support continuous learning

Here's What You Need:


    • Bachelor's Degree required (an additional 2 years work experience might be considered in lieu of degree)
    • 0-1+ years of professional experience
    • Basic knowledge of software engineering principles and application lifecycle concepts
    • Exposure to Pega PRPC, Dev Studio, App Studio, or Designer Studio
    • Ability to translate business requirements into simple Pega configurations with guidance
    • Introductory experience or exposure to integrating Pega with external systems (APIs, services, connectors)
    • Familiarity with version control systems, Agile development practices, and basic CI/CD concepts
    • Strong analytical thinking, problemsolving abilities, communication skills, and a desire to learn

    Bonus Points If You Have:

    • Foundational experience with Pega application development (case types, rules, workflow automation through coursework, internship, or early career experience)
    • Pega CSA certification (or actively working toward certification)
    • Experience with Pega PRPC beyond foundational training
    • Understanding of Pega frameworks, reusable components, or rulereuse patterns
    • Exposure to enterprise integration concepts or cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
    • Experience contributing to group projects or supporting technical teammates
    • Background or interest in Pega Architecture or Software Engineering
