POSITION SUMMARY:
The Kitchen Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring food quality, consistency, safety, and efficiency. This role involves supervising kitchen staff, coordinating food preparation and service, maintaining high standards of sanitation, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. The Kitchen Supervisor works closely with the Kitchen Manager and culinary team to deliver an exceptional guest experience while supporting cost control, inventory management, and adherence to company policies and procedures.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to motivate and develop team members in a fast-paced environment.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
  • Lead and support the kitchen team to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Oversee food preparation and presentation to guarantee quality and consistency.
  • Train, coach, and motivate staff while fostering a positive team environment.
  • Help with scheduling, inventory, and supply management.
  • Ensure all food safety, sanitation, and health standards are followed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen workspace.
  • Work closely with management to support menu planning and daily specials.
  • Assist in controlling food and labor costs through smart, efficient practices.
  • Step in to resolve issues and keep service running smoothly.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Previous experience in a supervisory role within a kitchen or food service environment (1-3 years preferred).
  • Solid knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and direct a team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Basic knowledge of inventory management, ordering, and cost control practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (culinary training or certifications a plus).

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • The employee must occasionally lift, pull, push, and/or move heavy items
  • The employee is exposed to cleaning chemicals that must be handled with extreme caution
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may work in outside weather conditions and can be exposed to hot, wet, and humid conditions
  • Employees will be exposed to outside temperatures ranging from 80-105 degrees
  • Minimal duties are performed in direct sunlight
