Job Overview:

The Bartender will be responsiblefor preparing and serving beverages in a safe, friendly, and professionalmanner while ensuring an enjoyable experience for our residents and visitors.The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, a strongattention to detail, and the ability to create a welcoming and socialatmosphere. You will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized bararea, following all safety and sanitation guidelines, and adhering to communitypolicies regarding alcohol service.

Responsibilities:
  • Inspect the bar prior to opening and closing toensure adequate supplies are available
  • Maintains clean bar area equipment
  • Maintains records and inventory of liquors, beerand wine
  • Prepare garnishes, mixers and pre-mixes
  • Work closely with Hospitality Manager and Directorof Hospitality
  • Works cooperatively with other servers and assistwith meal service, including waiting tables and running food
  • Receives deliveries in accordance with purchaseorders
  • Assist in daily cleanup of bar
  • Always be in uniform during your shift
  • Any other duties assigned by the HospitalityManager or Director
  • Responsible for ensuring that all team members provideexcellent customer service to internal and external customers
  • Perform job duties for residents and with teammembers in a courteous and professional manner
  • Take the initiative to ensure resident safety andsatisfaction is a priority
  • Meet and greet visitors in a friendly, helpfulmanner (visitors include anyone who visits the community; specifically, currentresidents' families and friends, prospective residents and their families,referral sources, vendors and regulators)
  • Answer phones appropriately, according to companyand community standards
  • Must demonstrate the ability to work responsiblyas a team member as well as an individual
  • Must have compassion for and desire to work withthe elderly while recognizing that the community is the residents' home
  • Must be honest, fair, dependable, respectconfidentiality and the rights and privacy of others
  • Must be able to communicate effectively withresidents, families, staff, vendors, and the general public

Required Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Must pass a criminal background check
  • Must be able to meet all health requirements
  • Must be able to perform duties andresponsibilities, with or without reasonable accommodation

Preferred Qualifications:
  • At least six (6) months' prior experience inhotels, restaurants, country clubs or banquet facilities are preferred
  • Supervisory experience is desirable

Physical Requirements &Working Conditions:
  • Schedule hours; possible overtime. Maywork in other positions temporarily when necessary
  • Is subject to callback during emergencyconditions (e.g., severe weather, evacuation, post disaster, etc.)
  • Is subject to injury from falls, burnsfrom equipment, odors, etc., through the workday, as well as to reactions fromdust, disinfectants, and other air contaminants
  • May be subject to the handling of andexposure to hazardous chemicals
  • Including but not limited to sitting/standing inplace for short/long periods at a time, repetitive use of hands, fingers,wrists, arms, frequent walking, bending, reaching, stooping, squatting,pushing/pulling/lifting 25+lbs. High people interaction, bright and lowlighting, loud noises, fluctuating temperatures, exposure to odors communicableillness/disease and other related infectious contagions found in ahealthcare/residential setting
