An RV PDI Technician, or Pre-Delivery Inspection Technician, is responsible for thoroughly inspecting new recreational vehicles (RVs) before they are delivered to customers. The RV PDI Technician ensures all systems are functioning properly, identifies any defects, and performs necessary repairs to meet quality and safety standards essentially making the RV ready for sale by performing a comprehensive check of its interior and exterior components, including plumbing, electrical, appliances, and chassis systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive pre-delivery inspections on vehicles to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot any mechanical or electrical issues identified during inspections.
  • Perform necessary repairs, adjustments, and maintenance tasks to prepare vehicles for delivery.
  • Document inspection results and maintain accurate records of all work performed.
  • Test all systems on the RV, such as water pressure, battery power, lighting, appliances, and slide-out operations to ensure proper functionality.
  • Collaborate with other technicians and departments to ensure efficient workflow and timely vehicle delivery.

Skills/ Qualifications:

  • Mechanical Aptitude: Strong understanding of RV systems including plumbing, electrical, and appliance operation.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to meticulously inspect and identify even minor defects or issues
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of basic hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and ability to perform minor repairs
  • Problem-Solving: Capability to diagnose issues and determine appropriate solutions
  • Valid Driver's License: Ability to safely operate RVs for testing and maneuvering on the lot

Requirements:

  • Pre-employment screenings including background and drug test
  • Ability to work 8 hours shift Monday-Friday and weekends as needed
