Job description

As a Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) Technician, you will perform pre-delivery inspections of new vehicles and install accessories. You will also be asked to clean and detail vehicles when needed. 

Salary Overview:
The pay rate for this role starts at $19 per hour based on experience.

Hours:

The hours for this role are Monday through Friday, 11:30 am to 8 pm.

PDI Technician Responsibilities Include: 

  • Follow pre-delivery inspection forms on all vehicles. 
  • Install accessories when required on vehicles. 
  • Scan vehicles with WyoTech tablets
  • Clean vehicle
  • Conduct vehicle inspections outlined outside of the PDI form when required per vehicle. 
  • Adhere to Suburban Automotive Service’s DRIVEN values and align business practices to support the SAS mission and vision. 

PDI Technician Qualifications and Skills:  

  • Basic mechanical knowledge of a vehicle.
  • Basic knowledge of vehicle tools and torque specs. 
  • Knowledge/Experience with hoisting a vehicle. 
  • Ability to lift and move accessory parts, occasionally up to 100 lbs. 
  • Ability to read and understand a service manual and procedures. 
  • Ability to track and write down labor time spent and write out any issues found with vehicles. 
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Must meet the company's background check and drug screen requirements
  • Valid Driver's License with an adequate driving record. 
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must possess a High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.Â
