Job description

As a PDI Technician , you will be responsible for completing Pre-Delivery Inspections on new, incoming vehicles and installing dealer-installed (LPO) parts when needed.ย ย 

Salaryย Overview:
The pay rate for this role starts at $18 per hour based on experience.

Hours:

The hours for this role are Monday through Friday 6am to 2:30pm.

PDI Technician Responsibilities include:ย 

  • Perform Pre-Delivery Inspections following the PDI checklist.ย 
  • Install dealer-installed (LPO) parts following the instructions provided.ย 
  • Check the vehicle for damage, missing parts, etc.ย 
  • Fill vehicles with fuel and other necessary fluids.ย 
  • Drive vehicles through the car wash.ย 
  • Complete warranty campaigns as required.ย 
  • Adhere to Suburban Automotive Serviceโ€™s DRIVEN values and align business practices to support the SAS mission and vision.ย 

PDI Technician Qualifications and Skills: ย 

  • Must have a valid driverโ€™s license.ย 
  • Must be mechanically inclined and own tools and/or willingness to purchase tools.ย 
  • Must have familiarity with re-flashing modules and calibrations.ย 
  • Must have exceptional critical thinking/problem-solving skills.ย 
  • Must be a self-starter and be able to work independently.ย 
  • Must be a reliable team player.ย 
  • Forklift experience is a plus.ย 

PDI Technician Working Conditions and Physical Demands include:ย 

  • Exposure to fumes, chemicals, and automotive fluids.ย 
  • This position is performed both inside a garage and outside so weather conditions may include extreme heat and cold.ย 
  • This position is continually active and requires standing, walking, bending, twisting, kneeling, stooping, and crouching all day.ย 
  • Must frequently lift and/or move items up to 100 lbs.ย 
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.ย
