What to Expect:
A professional IT Technician with experience in a large company enterprise support role, help desk / support call center experience, and / or onsite repair or other technical support position. PC Techs will install, troubleshoot, and repair computer systems, hardware, and computer peripherals. Technician needs to display a working knowledge of existing POOLCORP support technologies. Looked-for skill set should include advanced troubleshooting strategies, desire to learn and implement innovative technologies, competent and efficient communication with users (ability to use simple explanations), and an aptitude for flexibility and multi-tasking in a challenging environment.
On a daily basis our PC Technician I:
  • Technician will be expected to manage a comparable case assignment load - as assigned by management.

  • Technician must be able to work independently in an efficient manner until case it completed to user satisfaction.

  • Technician may be assigned by senior technician/leadership to work on various small project(s), or parts of larger project(s), and is expected to drive progress to complete the necessary work.

  • Technician must be able to prepare and image machines for field deployment.

  • Technician must be familiar with replacing internal components of computer assets.

  • Technician must be familiar with software installation and required maintenance.

  • Technician must be able to troubleshoot issues in multiple support disciplines at the same time and ensure work is completed to the satisfaction by senior PC Techs and other IT management.

  • Technician will represent POOLCORP IT in all situations in the best possible ways - and serve as a guide to those around them, setting an example of superior user support.
  • Technician will be required to report on site daily to the IT Headquarters in Covington, Louisiana.

What You Will Need:
  • Minimum 1-year experience supporting a Microsoft centric PC environment.

  • Understanding of how to troubleshoot issues within Active Directory

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Teams, O365, Dynamics

  • Working knowledge of Citrix Remote Desktop and streaming applications

  • Working knowledge of Windows 10 / 11

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft O365

  • Working knowledge of TeamViewer, VNC, and other remote assistant services

  • Must be able to document progress on case work, projects, and develop documentation to assist in training of other technicians and knowledge share (KB database creation)

  • Demonstrated verbal and written communications skills, organizational skills, and the ability to learn and incorporate emerging technologies.
  • Reliable transportation for daily commute to the IT building.
