Job Description:
SUMMARY
Provides support forstudents, faculty, staff and external constituents by resolving hardware,software and network issues. Responds to requests with a commitment to customersatisfaction, quality and accuracy. Effectivelyprovides appropriate referrals to other service areas. Performs related service functions thatsupport department operations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Provides campus level technical/network support while serving as an on-going technical resource
  • Provides expert diagnostics and maintenance of computer hardware, software and network issues
  • Supports software, hardware, network and peripheral devices in the academic unit; software shall encompass operating systems, antivirus programs, network software clients and server, and academic programs
  • Assists in administrating fixes and design modifications to workstations, and printers or other peripherals existing as components to the academic computing network
  • Performs regular cleaning and upkeep of computers, printers, and surrounding work spaces in the Learning Commons and campus computer classrooms/labs
  • Monitors supplies, maintains inventories, and ensures timely inspection/repair of computers and printers
  • Provides supervisory oversight of tasks related to the Desktop Technician duties regarding training of new software, asset inventory, hardware refresh, and helpdesk ticket SLA's
  • Creates and updates internal supported system documentation
  • Anticipates and meets all customer needs accurately, professionally, and with a commitment to customer satisfaction
  • Performs other duties as assigned
REQUIRED
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE/TRAINING
  • Associate's Degree
    • (Significant related experience may substitute for education)
  • Minimum of two years of related experience

  • Possess basic knowledge of networking infrastructure
  • Possess broad knowledge of operating systems (client and server)

  • The work is performed in a normal, professional office environment;

Target Starting Salary Range: $55,000 to $60,000
The final offer for the successful candidate is targeted tofall within this range but will be based upon an assessment of internal equity,the unit's available budget, and the candidate's qualifications in relation tothe minimum and/or preferred job requirement(s).
Special Note: If hired, you must reside in the state of Ohio and be within commuting distance of this work location/campus to respond to onsite work demands upon the employment start date and throughout the duration of your employment with the College, as outlined in 3354:1-40-01.1 Recruitment and Selection Procedure.
