Job description

Position: PC-DMIS CMM Programmer / Quality Assurance Inspector – Aerospace Machine Shop We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Inspector with strong PC-DMIS CMM programming skills to support our aerospace and defense machining operations. This role is responsible for verifying the dimensional accuracy and overall quality of close-tolerance precision components produced in our machine shop. Key Responsibilities Perform dimensional inspections of machined parts using CMM equipment, precision hand tools, and surface plate setups.

Program and operate CMMs using the PC-DMIS software platform. Generate and complete in-process, first article, and AS9102-compliant final inspection reports. Required Knowledge & Experience Minimum 5 years of mechanical inspection experience in a machine shop environment.

Prior machining experience is highly valued; candidates willing to transition into QA inspection are encouraged to apply. Proficiency with PC-DMIS is required. Skilled in the use of precision inspection tools such as micrometers, indicators, and height gauges.

Strong ability to interpret ANSI Y14.5 engineering drawings and apply GD&T principles. Familiarity with AS9102 First Article Inspection documentation. Competent computer skills, including email, MS Word, Excel, and PDF handling.
