Job description

Summary

Develop, maintain, and optimize CMM and advanced metrology programs to inspect and verify production components. Design inspection fixtures, establish inspection methods, and support quality initiatives using Calypso (preferred), PC-DMIS, GD&T, and ANSI/ASME or ISO standards.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Develop, validate, and maintain CMM inspection programs for first article, in-process, and final inspections.
  • Design and procure inspection fixtures, tooling, and functional gages.
  • Perform Gage R&R, MSA studies, and support equipment calibration.
  • Revise inspection programs and documentation for engineering changes.
  • Support FAI, inspection planning, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain CMM equipment, including probe qualification and preventive maintenance.
  • Develop work instructions and train operators on automated inspection equipment.
  • Support automated data collection and other quality-related projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience with CMM programming and advanced metrology equipment.
  • Strong GD&T knowledge (ASME Y14.5) and proficiency reading engineering drawings.
  • Experience with CMMs, vision systems, precision measuring equipment, and 3D CAD modeling.
  • Proficiency with Calypso (preferred), PC-DMIS/OpenDMIS, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and cross-functionally.

Preferred

  • Experience in regulated manufacturing (Aerospace, Defense, Medical Device, Pharmaceutical, etc.).
  • Knowledge of GMP/ISO standards.
  • Experience with CT scanning, white light scanning, 3D metrology, or GeoMeasure.
  • Associate degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Additional Requirements

  • Up to 10% travel, including occasional overnight and weekend travel.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., wear required PPE, and perform typical manufacturing floor activities.
