Familiarity with payroll software (such as ADP or QuickBooks), Microsoft Excel, and an understanding of payroll regulations is typically required, though on-the-job training is common. Organizational skills, reliability, and discretion with sensitive information are standout soft skills in this role. These skills and qualities ensure payroll is processed accurately, confidentially, and in compliance with legal requirements, supporting both employees and the organization.

How can I get a job in payroll without prior experience?
