Job description

Location: On-site, Hillsboro, OR

Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8am - 5pm

Compensation: 80,000 - 90,000K

Essential Functions:

  • Lead and oversee full-cycle biweekly payroll processing for 2,000+ employees across multiple states
  • Manage payroll operations within Workday, including earnings, deductions, commissions, bonuses, garnishments, PTO, and tax withholdings
  • Ensure payroll is processed accurately and on schedule while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Review and audit payroll data, reports, and payroll runs to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy
  • Partner closely with HR, Accounting, and leadership teams to improve payroll workflows and operational efficiency
  • Maintain payroll records, reporting, and documentation in accordance with company standards and compliance requirements
  • Monitor changes in payroll laws and regulations and implement process updates as needed
  • Support, train, and develop payroll team members while helping elevate overall team performance
  • Create and maintain payroll reporting and audit processes to improve visibility and accountability
  • Assist with payroll-related inquiries, escalations, and issue resolution
  • Adapt quickly in a fast-paced, high-growth environment where priorities can shift rapidly

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of payroll experience, including high-volume payroll environments
  • Experience managing or overseeing payroll operations for large multi-state organizations
  • Strong experience with Workday payroll processing strongly preferred
  • Leadership experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of payroll laws, wage and hour regulations, taxes, garnishments, and compliance practices
  • Advanced attention to detail with strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage deadlines and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • High level of professionalism, accountability, and confidentiality
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred
