About the Role

The Payroll Administrator is responsible for supporting all aspects of payroll processing in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. This role ensures accurate and timely payroll execution, maintains employee records, prepares required reports, and assists employees with payroll-related questions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working with sensitive information while meeting strict deadlines. This position reports directly to the Payroll Manager.


Responsibilities

  • Update and reconcile payroll balance sheets on a weekly basis
  • Enter and maintain employee information, including new hires, terminations, pay rate changes, tax updates, and address changes
  • Review weekly hours submitted from field locations to ensure compliance with Department of Labor (DOL) regulations and company policies
  • Process payroll-related adjustments, including deductions, garnishments, and final paychecks
  • Prepare payroll reports to meet company and regulatory requirements
  • Verify and certify payroll billing information as required
  • Maintain and update payroll tracking spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel
  • Handle payroll inquiries from employees in a professional and timely manner
  • Work within strict deadlines to ensure payroll is processed accurately and on schedule
  • Maintain confidentiality and safeguard sensitive employee information
  • Follow all company policies and safety practices
  • Support special projects and perform other duties as assigned
  • Promote and demonstrate company culture and values


Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 2 years of payroll or timekeeping experience preferred
  • Strong math, data entry, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Experience with ADP, E-Time, or Aspire is preferred
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced office environment
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to always maintain confidentiality


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time
  • Frequent keyboarding and repetitive hand movements
  • Occasional lifting of 5–30 lbs.
  • Ability to bend, crouch, or stand as needed
