Responsibilities of the Payroll Administrator:
  • Process payroll on a regular schedule and ensure employee pay is accurate and timely
  • Handle payroll updates such as deductions, adjustments, and employee changes
  • Assist with payroll reporting, journal entries, and maintaining accurate payroll records
  • Support benefitโ€‘related payroll activity and assist with related payables.
  • Help with periodic payroll reviews, reconciliations, and basic account analysis.
  • Conduct routine payroll checks to ensure tax and employee information is accurate.
  • Assist with tracking and updating items such as employee loans or other recurring entries
  • Prepare and distribute payrollโ€‘related reports as needed
  • Address payrollโ€‘related questions or notices and coordinate resolutions
  • Work with HR on benefit updates, employee changes, and invoice reviews
  • Support yearโ€‘end payroll tasks such as schedules, tax ID updates, and employee forms.
  • Communicate with payroll vendors and state agencies when needed
  • Assist with periodic state or local payroll filings when needed.
  • Support general accounting tasks such as reconciliations or account reviews.
Qualifications for the Payroll Administrator:
  • 5+ years of multistate payroll processing experience
    • Payroll certification a plus
    • Strong knowledge of state and local withholding regulations
  • UKG/UltiPro experience a strong plus
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • High attention to detail, strong analytical approach, and a collaborative mindset.
  • Background and credit check required

Salary: $65,000-$70,000
Hybrid schedule โ€“ the Payroll Administrator will report to the Baltimore headquarters at least two days per week
