Job Description BAE Systems is seeking a Payroll Data Analyst to join one of our programs. The availability of this position is contingent on being submitted and obtaining a high level security clearance. Security clearance processing can take 1 - 2 years to obtain. Must be US citizen. Candidates must have the ability to ensure accurate and compliant payroll processing, providing data analysis and insights related to compensation, taxes, and benefits. This position requires the individual to analyze payroll data to identify trends, report on and resolve payroll issues, and recommend process improvements, contributing to the organization's financial accuracy and compliance. Key Responsibilities: * Data Integrity and Accuracy: Verify and validate payroll data, ensuring accuracy and completeness of employee compensation, tax deductions, and benefits
* Payroll Processing: Review timesheets, adjust pay calculations, and process payroll transactions, including direct deposits and checks
* Compliance: Ensure adherence to state and federal payroll regulations and tax laws
* Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze payroll data to identify trends, potential errors, and areas for improvement
* Payroll System Expertise: Utilize and maintain knowledge of HRIS and payroll systems to ensure smooth and efficient operations
* Communication and Support: Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, answer questions about salaries and deductions

* Communication skills: Ability to communicate effectively with employees, management, and other stakeholders Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills * Bachelor's Degree in Data or Business Analytics or related discipline * HCM / payroll application experience: Experience as an administrator of human capital management (HCM) and/or payroll systems * Knowledge of payroll regulations and tax laws: Expertise in state and federal payroll regulations and tax laws * Software development experience: Experience writing SQL queries and experience with scripting languages * Data visualization skills: Ability to create reports and dashboards to present data insights Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $79365 - $134921 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
