Job description

Overview

We are looking for candidates who live within a commutable drivable distance to our Raleigh, NC or Jacksonville, FL office and have previous or current FCB experience.

This is a hybrid role with the expectation that time working will sometimes take place inside and outside of a company office.

This position is responsible for accurate and timely processing of bi-weekly and supplemental payrolls for multiple companies across the Bank. Assists in resolving pay-related inquiries, collaborating with peers and leadership as needed. Participates in system data testing and provides documented findings. Suggests procedure and workflow improvements, and assists with the implementation of recommended enhancements.


Responsibilities
  • Processing - Responsible for payroll processing activities on a bi-weekly and supplemental basis. Processes job and compensation changes, leave of absence workflow, arrears payments, manual pay adjustments, and new hire and termination pay. Updates associate hours in the time and attendance system, and assists in annual deliverables.
  • Operations - Provides support for payroll operations by responding to inquiries, investigating issues, and working to improve standard practices. Assists in implementing recommended modifications and enhancements. Supports the maintenance of the Payroll Operations Manual including processes, procedures, and workflows. 
  • Analysis - Sources, compiles, and interprets data. Analyzes data to validate output and ensure pay standards are met. Assists with data testing in the HR Management System.
  • Project Support - Supports both department and company-wide projects and initiatives. Supports pay administration merger and acquisition tasks including set-up of associate records, processing special payrolls, and resolving pay-related inquiries.

Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of experience in Payroll OR High School Diploma or GED and 6 years of experience in Payroll

Preferred License or Certification Type: Payroll certification (FPC) or Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification
