Overview
The Patient Registration Representative will enjoy interacting with patients, checking them in for their appointments and coordinating follow up appointments. The Patient Registration Representative will accurately perform administrative duties required for patient registration, including entering demographic and insurance information and collecting copays. As a liaison to patients, the community, and healthcare professionals, this position requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills to ensure delivery of the highest quality customer service. The Patient Registration Representative work environment is high-volume, fast-paced and requires the ability to greet and check patients in upon arrival and provide unsurpassed customer service to patients and families presenting to the physician practice or hospital for appointments, surgeries, therapies, or procedures. Registration and checkout are completed at the centralized welcome desks at hospital entrances and medical office buildings as well as at the check in-desk within the physician practices. The Patient Registration Representative is responsible for collecting point of service payments and may also be responsible for scheduling appointments.
