As a Patient Registration Rep, you will be the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience. You will handle patient registration, insurance verification, and cash collections, while advocating for patient needs. Your role is crucial in creating a positive first impression and ensuring smooth access to healthcare services.

What You Will Do

  • Follow standard operating procedures for patient registration, including face-to-face check-in and preregistration.
  • Confirm insurance eligibility and handle cash collections.
  • Update patient registration and insurance information.
  • Respond to inquiries from callers and customers, advocating on their behalf.
  • Provide efficient and effective customer relationship management, instilling loyalty and anticipating needs.

What You Will Need

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to meet or exceed core customer service responsibilities, standards, and behaviors.

Preferred Qualifications

  • One (1) year of experience related to patient admitting, registration, and/or insurance eligibility and verification in a hospital or medical office setting.
  • EPIC training/experience and ICD-10 medical terminology experience.
