Job Title: Patient Financial Representative
Location: 1200 County Road E., Arden Hills, MN 55112, United States
Working Model: Training 2 weeks in AH then remote. In office rotation every 6-8 weeks for 1 day

Schedule: Mon-Fri 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

The Patient Financial Representative at Sagent Behavioral Health, you will be a liaison between patients and the organization, ensuring timely and accurate collection of balances while providing excellent customer service. This position is responsible for managing patient financial interactions, establishing and maintaining payment plans, processing payments, and preparing accounts for collections or refunds. The representative will act as a professional representative of Sagent Behavioral Health supporting the financial health of the organization through effective communication and account management.

Responsibilities:
  • Make a minimum of 100 outgoing calls and answer at least 75 incoming calls each week.
  • Establish and negotiate payment plans with patients as needed.
  • Thoroughly document all patient interactions in the account record.
  • Review claims to confirm all insurance billing is complete before referral to third-party collections.
  • Verify that all internal collection steps have been completed on each account.
    Participate in required meetings and trainings and perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:
  • Collections and customer service experience; insurance billing follow up experience; Mental Health experience preferred.
  • Ability to handle high pressure conflict resolution
  • Detail oriented, flexible problem solver; maintains a positive attitude.
  • Computer Experience required, Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, Outlook
  • High school graduate or above.

Compensation: This is a non-exempt position. Total earnings for this position will range from $18.00 - $20.00 hourly.
*Actual compensation may be determined by various factors such as licensure, experience, skillset, internal equity, schedule and/or location. Estimates are factored on a 1.0 FTE.
