Job description

The Patient Enrollment Specialist is responsible for educating patients and potential patients on the company and the studies we are enrolling for with the goal of finding a compatible study for enrollment.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Acts as a liaison between site staff and enrollment staff ensuring transparent and impartial communication between both stakeholders, streamlining decision-making and processes around patient scheduling and enrollment, and an overall improved initiative towards achieving business goals.
  • Partners with enrollment leadership and site physician(s) to identify and schedule eligible patients from the physician's practice for priority and assigned study focuses based on current and upcoming business initiatives and/or goals.
  • When applicable, coordinates with confirmation specialist(s) to manage operational oversight of same-day scheduled patients including communication and awareness around patient arrival, updating of trackers and systems with regard to appointment details and patient contact attempts.
  • Educates patients on the DM Ambassador program, enrolls patients in the program, and regularly follows up with enrolled ambassadors to obtain referral information.
  • When applicable, collaborates with site staff to retain/reschedule those patients completing a current study with DM.
  • Partners with enrollment leadership and MR team ensuring all necessary medical history/documents are requested and obtained (including initial ROI completion, follow-up, etc.).
  • Any other tasks assigned by Patient Enrollment or site management

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
Education:
  • High School Diploma or GED required

Experience:
  • 2+ years of customer service experience
  • 1+ year in a health or medical-related work environment (i.e. - Dr. Office, clinic, medical-related call center,
  • etc.)
  • 6+ months of in-person sales experience (in any industry/capacity)

  • N/A

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
  • Flexibility to work from multiple locations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail
