Job description

Japanese Marine Company seeks a Cargo Vessel Operator in Englewood Cliff, NJ.

This is an on-site job and the salary range is $50k - 60K


Responsibilities for Cargo Vessel Operator

  • Checking the vessel's operating status and movements.
  • Preparing and sending voyage instructions and appointments with port agents.
  • Invoicing freight to charterers and arranging remittance to port agents, etc.
  • Communicate with vessel captains and port agents via telephone and e-mail regarding voyages.
  • Arrange fuel and lubricant supply to vessels.
  • Assist with crew arrangements.


Qualifications for Cargo Vessel Operator

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office. (Outlook, Excel etc.)
  • Ability to read, write and speak English.
  • Reading, writing, and speaking Spanish skills are a big plus
  • Experience in logistics, import/export, supply chain, or transportation operations is preferred, but direct marine industry experience is not required.
  • Candidates with strong PC skills, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate multiple tasks in an office environment are encouraged to apply.
