POSITION SUMMARY:

The Parts Room Supervisor is a key person for the factory maintenance program who owns all technical store areas and technical store attendants. They are responsible for all technical store routines. The position is responsible for providing the spare parts required for maintenance: easy to find, right quality, available when needed, with the optimum inventory level and cost of management. The Parts Room Supervisor will ensure the following activities are established and maintained. Establish and control the right storeroom area and proper 5S storage conditions; establish and manage the right material master data (Material type, BOM, ABCZ classification, etc.); establish and control the routine of the material movements (receiving, issue, returns, reordering, scrapping); establish and manage the inventory control processes (cycle counting, storeroom access process).  This role is a key link with other stakeholders and must work seamlessly with technicians, maintenance planners, operational buyers, and finance.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain a clean and orderly 5S storeroom
• Plan the storeroom layout for efficient order picking and inventory care
• Organize and manage staffing levels to ensure adequate support for maintenance
• Work closely with the maintenance department on cost and inventory strategies
• Manage the process to refine and control slow-moving parts and obsolete part removal
• Monitor min/max levels and order point information
• Manage inventories by ABCZ classification
• Ensure inventory accuracy 
• Coordinate activities with other disciplines (purchasing, accounting, engineering, operations, management) to ensure high support of maintenance activities
• Provide monthly KPI reports to the maintenance manager and factory controller
• Provide reports to management such as inventory valuation reports, inventory reports, cycle count variances, scrap, and obsolescence
• Establish and maintain standard operating procedures for major work systems within plant stores: Parts set-up, Parts replenishment, Parts issue, Parts return, Parts repair and re-stock, Parts Kitting,
• Inventory Process (Annual and Cycle Count)
• Solicit training/education, network with other sites, as necessary to become the site expert on these systems.
• Provide training systems for all affected personnel for the above work process.
• Ensure technical stores compliance to all: safety, food safety, and environmental guidelines NGA, NSAT, TPM-PM etc. and complete loss analysis to identify and develop improvements.
• Become familiar with plant equipment and operational processes.
• Understand and ensure that the proper segregation of duties to the Factory Engineer and Factory Controller. Undertake investigation and auditing of any variances or key controls and measures and implement corrective actions in consultation with factory management.

 
REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:

• High School diploma or GED required. Associates Degree or higher preferred.
   

EXPERIENCE:

• 3+ years experience in a technical field, preferably in food manufacturing or consumer goods (as Storekeeper, Technician, Engineering Supervisor, Maintenance Engineer, or other similar position) including direct supervision of others (technical teams, mechanical and electrical, contractors, suppliers, or other 3rd parties.)
• 3 years of experience directly supervising others (technical teams, mechanical and electrical, contractors, suppliers, or other third parties) preferred. 
• Experience with SAP strongly preferred.
• Experience with Excel and other analysis tools.
• Basic exposure to equipment and spare parts used in the following fields:  instrumentation, industrial services, E&A, and general food and beverage industry preferred.
• Experience with TPM, preventative maintenance planning, and maintenance execution.  Basic exposure in the coordination and planning of maintenance activities, considering SHE, food safety, and other constraints.  
• Participation in multi-disciplinary teams for process or activity optimization preferred.

• Excellent Computer Skills (SAP, AMM, Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
• Strong interpersonal skills  and communication skills (both written and oral)
• Able to work in a team environment
• Basic Root Cause/7 Step problem-Solving Skills recommended
• Knowledge of 5S process
• Excellent Organizational Skills 
• Basic Project Management Skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability and willingness to operate and support a positive Nestle culture and follow established values

• Have positive conflict management skills
• Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision and handle multiple tasks
