Job description

Summary

The Inventory Coordinator is responsible for maintaining accurate physical and system inventory across receiving, stockroom, production kitting, service parts, and shipping support. This role will use Acumatica ERP directly to receive materials, issue parts, process inventory transactions, support cycle counts, investigate discrepancies, and make documented inventory adjustments.

This position is hands-on and requires strong attention to detail, good organization, comfort working in an ERP system, and the ability to support a low-volume, high-mix manufacturing environment. The role also includes light assembly and production support as needed.

Hudson Lab Automation designs and manufactures laboratory automation systems and life science instrumentation used by research, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and diagnostic laboratories. Our operations team plays a critical role in ensuring that parts, production kits, service materials, and customer orders move accurately and efficiently through the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate inventory in Acumatica, including receipts, issues, transfers, returns, and adjustments
  • Investigate discrepancies, perform cycle counts, and process properly documented inventory adjustments
  • Receive, inspect, and put away incoming materials; verify quantities, part numbers, and condition
  • Pull, stage, and issue materials for production, service, and internal orders, ensuring accuracy and readiness
  • Prepare and manage production kits; identify shortages and return unused materials to inventory
  • Support service parts fulfillment and communicate shortages or priority conflicts
  • Coordinate with Logistics by staging accurate, labeled materials for shipment
  • Maintain organized, labeled, and accurate stockroom locations, including raw materials, WIP, and finished goods
  • Assist with light assembly and production support tasks as needed
  • Maintain a clean, safe workspace and support continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., 5S, material flow, organization)

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or related role
  • Experience using ERP or inventory management systems
  • Ability to interpret part numbers, purchase orders, work orders, and inventory reports
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good organizational and multitasking skills
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office - email, Excel, Windows, ERP systems)
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (with or without accommodation)
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and handle materials throughout the workday

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Acumatica ERP
  • Background in manufacturing, electronics, medical devices, or life sciences
  • Experience with production kitting, BOMs, and work orders
  • Cycle count and inventory discrepancy investigation experience
  • Light mechanical assembly or hand-tool experience
