Overview

Consider joining the Pennex family as a Maintenance Parts and Inventory Coordinator at our Leetonia, OH location. 

The Maintenance Parts and Inventory Coordinator rovides clerical, inventory, and logistical support to the Maintenance Department. This position maintains maintenance spare parts records within the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), coordinates supplier quotes, supports purchase order processing, manages spare parts inventory, and prepares parts kits for planned maintenance work. This role ensures maintenance personnel have the materials required to execute planned maintenance activities efficiently.

Responsibilities
  • Maintains maintenance spare parts inventory including location accuracy and quantity levels.
  • Receives incoming maintenance parts and verifies materials against purchase orders and packing slips.
  • Organizes, labels, and stores maintenance parts in designated inventory locations.
  • Builds and maintains spare parts records within the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
  • Assists in developing and maintaining spare parts lists and Bills of Materials (BOMs) for plant equipment.
  • Obtains vendor quotes for maintenance parts and services as requested by maintenance leadership.
  • Verifies nomenclature and specifications of purchase requests by consulting equipment documentation, catalogs, and suppliers.
  • Enters vendor quotes and purchase requests into the CMMS purchasing system.
  • Communicates with suppliers regarding pricing, specifications, and delivery timelines.
  • Compiles and maintains records of items purchased, transferred between departments, prices, deliveries, and inventories.
  • Prepares and stages parts kits for planned maintenance work once jobs have been planned and scheduled by the Maintenance Planner.
  • Supports maintenance personnel in locating and identifying spare parts and materials required for repairs.
  • Assists with periodic cycle counts and inventory audits to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Performs other duties as assigned including administrative support tasks for maintenance or manufacturing departments.
Qualifications

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

 

Education 

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Experience 

  • Two to Five years of experience in industrial inventory management, maintenance support, purchasing, or warehouse operations
  • Experience working with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) or inventory management systems preferred

Other Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities    

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, equipment documentation, short correspondence, and memos
  • Ability to write simple correspondence and communicate effectively with suppliers and internal personnel
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, suppliers, and employees of the organization
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent
  • Strong organizational and inventory management skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with maintenance personnel, suppliers, and internal departments
  • Basic understanding of industrial parts and maintenance materials preferred
  • Proficiency with spreadsheets, word processing, and CMMS systems
  • Ability to read part catalogs, vendor quotes, and equipment documentation
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Leverages AI tools to optimize workflows and drive daily productivity
  • Regular attendance is required
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen
