Job description

Parts Distribution Specialist

Under close supervision, the Parts Distribution Specialist retrieves parts and materials based upon customer order input and ensures that ordered items are packaged and shipped properly based on company quality standards to the appropriate location. Ensure that all documentation is completed and processed accurately.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identifies the ordered parts or materials.
  • Retrieves the parts or materials using RF scanner.
  • Packages the parts or materials to company quality standards.
  • Ships the parts or materials including parcel, domestic and International LTL orders.
  • Occasionally stocks incoming products.
  • Occasionally loads and sorts packages onto parcel/LTL truck.
  • Counts inventory as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Experience Requirements: Generally, requires a minimum of six (6) months of experience in a warehouse, shipping/receiving or similar environment. Required proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Previous experience operating forklift/order picker machines preferred but not required. Previous experience with SAP or other warehouse management systems a plus.

Education Requirements: High School Diploma required.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to use tact and diplomacy; must be a collaborative team player.

Physical Demands: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to sit; use hands and fingers, bend, stoop and reach with hands and arms. Ability to lift-up to 55 pounds 50% daily. Able to stand at a desk and use/view computer 50% daily. Able to hear and speak into a telephone 5% daily. Able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist 90% daily.

Work Environment: The noise in the work environment is usually moderate. Other factors are:

  • Hectic, fast-paced with multi-level distractions.
  • Professional, yet casual work environment.
  • Ability to work extended hours as required.
