Job description

We are looking for a Principal Program Manager to serve as a strategic partner and operational backbone for our organization. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role that sits at the center of how our org operates, communicates, and drives results - both internally and across partner organizations. The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguity, brings exceptional judgment, and knows how to move fast without losing rigor.
This role is ideal for a builder and connector who can zoom out to see the big picture and zoom in to drive execution - someone who earns trust quickly, influences without authority, and makes the people and teams around them more effective.
Key job responsibilities
What You'll Do
Business Operations
• Own and drive the operational rhythm of the organization, including goal-setting cycles, business reviews, planning processes, and leadership forums
• Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities across the org and lead initiatives to address them
• Serve as a trusted thought partner to the Director, helping prioritize and sequence work across competing demands
Cross-Organizational Initiatives
• Lead and coordinate cross-functional programs that span multiple organizations, ensuring alignment, accountability, and momentum
• Navigate complex stakeholder landscapes with clarity and confidence, bringing the right people together at the right time
• Define program structures, success metrics, and governance for initiatives that don't have a natural home
Driving Efficiency
• Identify and implement mechanisms that reduce friction, eliminate redundancy, and improve how the org operates at scale
• Build scalable processes and frameworks that grow with the organization
Communications
• Own org-wide internal communications, including leadership updates, all-hands content, and team-facing messaging
• Lead external communications strategy in partnership with relevant stakeholders, ensuring consistent, clear, and compelling narratives
• Translate complex, ambiguous topics into crisp, audience-appropriate communications
What We're Looking For
• 7+ years of experience in program management, strategy, operations, or a related field
• Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale, cross-functional initiatives from ambiguity to execution
• Strong business acumen with the ability to connect operational details to strategic priorities
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; able to write for senior audiences and represent the org externally
• Proven track record of influencing without authority across organizational boundaries
• Comfortable operating in fast-moving, ambiguous environments with competing priorities
• Experience supporting or partnering with senior leaders in a chief of staff, technical advisor, or equivalent capacity is a plus
Why This Role
This is a rare opportunity to operate at the intersection of strategy, operations, and communications for a dynamic, growing organization. You'll have direct exposure to senior leadership, work on problems that matter, and leave a visible mark on how the org functions and shows up - internally and externally.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 7+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
- 7+ years of program or project management experience
- 7+ years of managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization
- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience delivering projects within scope, time, budget and quality
