Senior Director, Partner Engagement
Being the Partner of Choice is core to DaVita's mission and our team aspires to create a differentiated experience for the providers that we work with - day in and day out. Nephrology is undergoing a period of profound change. This team will deepen our understanding of providers' current and anticipated needs, and help us bring together our clinical, operational, and technological capabilities to create an integrated care delivery platform with our partners.
We're building a differentiated, provider-centric experience and need a leader who can shape strategy and translate insights into enterprise-level impact. This Senior Director of Partner Engagement is a highly visible position with the mandate to set direction, remove obstacles, lead a talented team of Managers & Analysts, and drive measurable outcomes across a fast-evolving landscape.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute provider engagement strategies aligned with DaVita's mission, multi-year objectives and industry best practices.
  • Set enterprise-level strategic direction, remove operational and organizational barriers, and communicate with clarity to drive alignment, commitment, and timely decision-making.
  • Establish team objectives, connect work to Village priorities, and use metrics, dashboards, and performance indicators to deliver sustained department results.
  • Lead and scale a team of managers and analysts, holding leaders accountable for functional ownership, execution quality, and continuous improvement across the engagement strategy.
  • Built strong, cross-functional working relationships across other subject matter experts.
  • Build and maintain cross-functional partnerships with subject matter experts to drive integrated solutions and effective execution.
  • Enable operations leaders with scalable national capabilities, adapted as needed to local provider and market dynamics.
  • Monitor and assess initiative performance using data and defined success measures, communicate results to internal stakeholders, and proactively reallocate resources to maximize impact.
  • Understand key regulatory and compliance guidelines related to referral sources.
  • Maintain awareness of nephrology-specific and broader healthcare trends to inform strategy and execution.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required to support organizational priorities.

Education and Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree required, MBA preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in partner engagement, relationship management, experience-led growth or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience designing and executing partner engagement and growth strategies, including experience-led initiatives, within complex or regulated environments.
  • 5+ years of experience in management consulting strongly preferred
  • Experience in the healthcare industry is highly preferred.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement successful provider engagement strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with clarity, influence stakeholders, and negotiate effectively to drive decisions and results.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong preference for Denver-based candidates (office-oriented hybrid role, with three days required in-person per week)

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations
  • None required; PMP or related certification preferred.

Travel and Time Requirements
  • Approximately 20-30% travel may be required for partner meetings and industry events.
  • Occasional evening or weekend work may be required to meet deadlines or attend events.

Language Skills: Fluent in the written and verbal skills necessary to successfully perform the essential functions, duties, and responsibilities of the position.

Work Environment: Level III - Moderate noise (e.g., business office with computers or printers, light traffic). Visual: Vision adequate to perform the essential duties/responsibilities of position.
May be required to demonstrate the ability to differentiate colors on a test strip.
Physical Demands: Physical requirements can vary. These must be reviewed with management. However, in general, the position requires the following activities:
  • Ability to lift minimum of 5 lbs to a max of 50 lbs unassisted and able to stand, sit, stoop, walk, stretch, reach, and use full range of body motions.
  • Manual dexterity as required for specific equipment and ability to use computer keyboard and peripherals.
