Job description

The Partner Engagement Manager works with Augusta's business community to engage locally
owned restaurants, retailers, and experiences, in the tourism economy. This role supports
community partners in understanding the benefits and resources Destination Augusta provides
and the value of tourism in the community. The Partner Engagement Manager is responsible for
building and maintaining experience trails and passes, fostering itinerary and experience
development, and engaging deeply with the authentic visitor-facing businesses in Augusta's River
Region.


This is a full-time, in-office position that reports to the Director of Destination Experience as part
of the Destination Development and Community Engagement team that also includes:
Chief Strategy Officer and Senior VP
Community Engagement Manager
Group Experiences Manager


Core Responsibilities
Partner Outreach & Servicing
Building strong partnerships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with
tourism partners through outreach and onboarding new partners.

Tourism Partner 1:1 meetings: Share benefit summaries, partner menus, and
connection resources with tourism partners.

Industry event participation: Attend and engage bi-monthly Tourism Partner
meetings, industry and partner networking events, and community events.
Oversee messaging in partner engagement communications: Provide content for
tourism partner meeting, SMS updates, and partner newsletters.
Advertising: Introduce monetized resources to partners and serve as conduit to
advertise with Destination Augusta vendors.
Reporting
CRM reporting: Detailed CRM reporting and data management of all partner
connections.
Trace reports: Compile and communicate trace reports monthly for partner
servicing.
Provide internal updates: Track Business Plan milestones, quarterly report content,
and present partner news updates in semi-weekly staff meetings (when applicable).
Itinerary and Trail Curation
Knowledge leader: Cultivate leading knowledge in destination experiences.
Experience Trails and Passes: Curate and maintain experience trails and passes, trail
and pass itineraries, content and delivery devices. Manage offerings and data through
software platforms such as Bandwango.
Assist in product development: Contributes to the creation and enhancement of
authentic, high-quality experiences that reflect local culture and assets.
Report promotional efforts to partners: Compile and complete promotion report
summaries to trail participants.


CRM & Portal Management
Partner portal maintenance: Ensure the partner portal and related systems remain
current and support easy access to resources and information. Ensure partner portal is
user-friendly for tourism partners.
CRM maintenance: Maintain and update partner information in CRM system,
effectively use traces to track efforts.
Ensure partner benefits summary data growth: Maintain accurate partner records,
track engagement activities, and provide internal updates.
Augusta & Co. Support
Regularly inform Augusta Experts about what is new, changing, closing, etc.
Train Augusta Experts on new tourism experiences or products.
Serve as on-call staff that provides coverage for Augusta Experts upon request.


Other Responsibilities
Assist Community Engagement Manager with Tournament Host Home, Masters of
Hospitality, and Augusta State of Tourism.
Represent Destination Augusta in the community by helping to staff activations and
events.
Assist with other projects and duties as assigned.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Excellent communication skills, to include public speaking, community building, and
interpersonal skills.
Strong destination knowledge and/or desire to learn about the destination.
Excellent writing and editing skills; corporate and/or creative.
Tourism product development training and experience.
Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
Familiarity with Monday.com or other project management software.
Professional and Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in hospitality, business, or communications preferred but not required.
Minimum 2 years of experience in partner relations, tourism, or hospitality.
