Job description

The Senior Account Manager will deliver exceptional client results by providing sound, innovative, strategic leadership to a portfolio of accounts through a rigorous discipline of account planning, strategy development, and project management. This role requires a blend of project management and fundraising acumen, with a focus on developing strategic thinking, analytical skills, and team leadership. The Senior Account Manager must possess a curiosity and willingness to learn and grow and the ability to present AGP ideas, concepts, and points of view to clients.ย 
  • Client Partnership:ย 
    • Develops communication plans and client budgets with support from the Associate Vice President or Account Director, as neededย 
    • Advances direct response practices in architected strategiesย 
    • Responsible for managing and executing projects on time, on budget and with excellenceย 
    • Balances the needs of the client with proven best practices to advance sound strategy and deliver strong results with support from the Associate Vice President or Account Director, as neededย 
    • Focuses on making Allegiance Group + Pursuant an indispensable partnerย 
    • Presents Allegiance Group + Pursuant work through skilful written and verbal communicationย 
    • Confidently presents ideas and data insights to the Clientย 
    • Actively listens with the ability to identify client needs and respond accordinglyย 
    • Actively works to fully understand our Client's businessย 
  • ย Strategy & Project Management:ย 
    • Facilitates strategic planning, internal communication, and ensures all cross-functional team members understand project parameters and scope of workย 
    • Manages Client communication plan and workflow throughout the agency from project initiation to project completion and billingย 
    • Keeps team members informed of project developments and addresses issues via regular status meetings and published status reportsย 
    • Proactively identifies and formulates solutions to potential project challengesย 
    • Develops and organizes all project documentation including strategy documents, copy documents, and data request formsย 
    • Reviews copy and design creative, production worksheets, print setups, and test emails to ensure work product aligns with project strategy ย 
    • Develops quality, innovative, and creative ideas with the support of the account team and the Executive Sponsor, Associate Vice President or Account Directorย 
    • Leads highly productive meetings internally and with the Clientย 
    • Provides clear direction/constructive feedback to all departmentsย 
  • Fiscal Responsibility:ย 
    • Closely monitors budget estimate and billingย 
    • Meets with Finance monthly to reconcile project summaries and provides Client billing and closing directionย 
    • Partners with the Executive Sponsor, Associate Vice President or Account Director to identify opportunities to expand existing budget and reallocate unused budget dollars to new prioritiesย

Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree (BA or BS) in Marketing, Communications, Business, Nonprofit Management, or a related field.
  • 4-6 years of experience in client strategy, account management, fundraising, or agency client services, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred experience includes:
  • Direct response fundraising campaigns across direct mail and/or digital channels
  • Experience working with nonprofit organizations
  • Agency experience in a client services or strategy capacity
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong knowledge of direct response fundraising strategy and campaign execution.
  • Understanding of multi-channel campaign planning and project management workflows.
  • Ability to translate client goals and performance data into actionable strategic recommendations.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including client-facing presentations.
  • Strong client relationship management and stakeholder communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience managing budgets, timelines, and project deliverables.
