Job description

General Statement or Primary Purpose The purpose of the part-time Instructor position is to lead wellness classes as assigned by the Part-time Wellness Support Supervisor or Program Coordinator. Duties and Responsibilities or Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Read to gain an understanding of all program rules, facility/program policies, and program schedules. Create and implement routines to meet the needs of the participants.

Arrive to the designed location of the class on time and prepared to lead the class. Ensure that all participants are safe by monitoring the environment and following the rules. Properly store all equipment at the completion of each class.

Attend all scheduled staff meetings. Provide excellent customer service; to create a positive environment. Report all injuries of participants and staff; to follow the protocol and policy of the department.

Check attendance daily and ensure that all participants have completed the registration process. Turn in all rosters and medical waivers monthly to the Part-time Wellness Support Supervisor or Program Coordinator. Submit all hours worked to the direct supervisor by the specified date.

Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Education and Experience Graduation from high school and 1 year of experience leading wellness related programs; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities. Valid North Carolina Driver's License required.
