Job description

Pheasant Run Golf Course in LaGrange is looking for passionate team members who want to deliver a high level of service to our customers, while growing their career. The Golf Course Maintenance Worker maintains and enhances golf course facilities by performing unskilled and semi-skilled jobs. This is a seasonal position (season ends in November). Seasonal full time and seasonal part time positions are available.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Sets up the golf course for daily play
  • Plants sod and watering trees and plants
  • Cuts grass on tee boxes, fairways, roughs, fringes and greens as well as sodding and trimming
  • Irrigates the course and working on the watering system
  • Operates and maintains equipment such as walking and riding mowers, backpack blowers, rollers, trimmers, greens mowers, bunker rakes, carts, and a variety of powered and non-powered hand tools
  • Maintains the putting and chipping greens
  • Repairs divots throughout the course with sand and seed
  • Ensures the tee boxes are trimmed, and all divots are filled with sand/seed on the par 3 boxes
  • Takes the course through seasonal changes such as aeration or overseed
  • General maintenance that might include removing trees, tree planting, flowerbed upkeep, maintaining pond water conditions, and more
  • General construction/landscaping of surrounding features including clubhouse, parking lot, and storage facilities
  • Follows all safety procedures and equipment guidelines
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
