Job description

PLEASE NOTE THIS POSITION IS FOR THE UPCOMING SEASON OF 2026-27. WE WILL NOT START THE INTERVIEWING PROCESS UNTIL MID-AUGUST WITH AN ANTICIPATED START DATE OF MID-SEPTEMBER.
Have you ever thought about working in sports?
We are recruiting for part-time, game night staff for the Orlando Magic, Osceola Magic, and Orlando Solar Bears. Whether you are a college student, a teacher with a flexible schedule, someone looking to re-enter the workforce, or someone just looking for additional income, our part-time, event roles could be perfect for you.
What our Part-Time hiring process is like:
While every position is different, our part-time hiring process is typically a two-step process, sometimes more depending on the nature of the role. After you apply, your resume will be reviewed by our hiring manager for that particular role.
After interviews have been conducted, candidates whom the hiring manager selected will be contacted by our Talent Acquisition team. Candidates who are not selected to move forward will be contacted via email. We would love to call 100% of the candidates, however we typically interview well over 250 candidates during this part-time hiring week, and we want to give every candidate the decision as soon as possible.
A quick summary about the Part-Time 50/50 Raffle Sales Ambassador Role:
The Orlando Magic Youth Foundation (OMYF) is looking for friendly, high-energy, and motivated individuals to join our team as part-time, seasonal 50/50 Raffle Sellers for the 2025-26 Orlando Magic and Solar Bears seasons.
In this exciting role, you'll be a key part of our game-day fundraising team - engaging with fans, promoting the 50/50 raffle, and helping raise critical funds to support youth-focused nonprofit organizations across Central Florida. You'll have the opportunity to work every Orlando Magic home game and approximately half of the Solar Bears home games at the Kia Center.
This position is ideal for outgoing, motivated individuals who are passionate about sports, community impact, and engaging with fans in a fun and energetic environment. If you thrive in a fast-paced sports atmosphere and want to make a difference in the community, we'd love to hear from you!
What the position will be responsible for:
โ€ข Proactively approaching fans before and during Orlando Magic home games and select Solar Bears games to explain and promote the 50/50 raffle program.
โ€ข Accurately process raffle ticket sales using handheld electronic devices, ensuring secure and efficient transactions.
โ€ข Communicate the mission and impact of the Orlando Magic Youth Foundation to inspire fan participation and support.
โ€ข Meet or exceed individual sales goals as outlined by the Raffle Manager.
โ€ข Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions about the raffle and responding to fan inquiries with professionalism and enthusiasm.
โ€ข Utilize creative and persuasive sales techniques to drive participation and maximize funds raised.
โ€ข Represent OMYF and the Orlando Magic with a positive, team-oriented attitude and a commitment to excellence.
โ€ข Demonstrate reliability, energy, and a strong work ethic in a fast-paced game-day environment.
โ€ข Assist with additional game-day operations or responsibilities as needed.
What is required for the role:
โ€ข High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
โ€ข Previous experience in sales, customer service, or fan engagement preferred.
โ€ข Must be able to maintain high levels of enthusiasm and energy while interacting with a diverse fan base in a fast-paced, loud environment.
โ€ข Must be reliable, punctual, and comfortable working independently or as part of a team.
โ€ข Hours: Approximately 3.5 to 4 hours per shift at each Orlando Magic and Solar Bears home game at the Kia Center (including 2 Magic preseason games, 42 regular season Magic home games, and approximately 18 Solar Bear home games).
โ€ข Availability Requirement: A minimum commitment of 21 Orlando Magic home games and availability for approximately half of the Solar Bears home games is expected.
โ€ข Additional Opportunities: Participation in potential playoff games may also be requested.
Physical requirements
โ€ข Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time throughout the duration of a shift; this is a physically active, on-your-feet role. The position also requires the ability to frequently go up and down stairs as part of regular duties.
โ€ข Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
If this opportunity is a job you're passionate about and it fits with your skills and experience, then we welcome you to take the next step and apply!
All offers of employment are contingent on successful completion of our pre-employment screenings, that will include a background check and may include a drug screen.
