Job Summary
The University of North Georgia is accepting applications for a Part-Time Temporary Social Media Coordinator. The Social Media Coordinator (Temporary, Part-Time) will support the day-to-day management of the Mike Cottrell College of Business¿ social media platforms during a transitional period as we recruit for a full-time Marketing Manager. This role is responsible for maintaining an active and engaging social media presence by creating, scheduling, and monitoring content aligned with the college's brand and strategic priorities.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain MCCB's social media accounts (e.g., Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.)
  • Create, schedule, & publish content using approved tools and platforms
  • Capture and post real-time content at events (as needed)
  • Assist with promoting key events, student achievements, and college initiatives
  • Collaborate with faculty, staff, and/or student programs to gather content
  • Ensure all content aligns with institutional branding and communication guidelines

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Basic understanding of social media platforms and trends
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Ability to capture photo/video content using a smartphone or basic equipment

Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience with content creation tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Express, etc)
  • Experience managing or contributing to social media accounts (professional or student organization experience acceptable)
