Job description

Harrison Meadows Country Club, located in Harrison, NY, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a part-time Restaurant Hostess! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you’ll contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

Pay:
$19.00 per hour
 
Position Summary:
The Restaurant Hostess is the first and last point of contact for guests, responsible for creating a welcoming, professional, and organized dining experience. This role manages reservations, seating flow, and guest communication while supporting front-of-house operations to ensure exceptional service standards.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Greet all guests warmly upon arrival and provide a friendly, professional first impression
  • Manage reservations, waitlists, and table assignments using the POS or reservation system
  • Escort guests to tables and present menus in a timely manner
  • Maintain an accurate seating chart to ensure balanced service among servers
  • Monitor dining room activity and communicate wait times effectively
  • Answer phones, take reservations, and respond to guest inquiries
  • Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the host stand and entrance area
  • Coordinate with servers, managers, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow
  • Handle guest concerns with professionalism and escalate issues when necessary
  • Thank guests as they depart and invite them to return
