Overnight (3rd Shift) Cleaning Supervisor
Position Summary:
The Overnight Mall Cleaning Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the cleaning operations of the mall during overnight hours. This role includes supervising and coordinating a team of cleaning staff, ensuring all areas of the mall are thoroughly cleaned, maintained, and up to the mall's cleanliness standards. The supervisor ensures the mall is presentable and welcoming to customers during daytime hours and that all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Team Supervision:
    • Supervise a team of cleaning staff, including custodians and janitors, ensuring they follow cleaning schedules and perform their duties to standard.
    • Assign cleaning tasks and delegate responsibilities based on priorities and area needs.
    • Monitor employee performance and provide guidance and training as needed.
    • Ensure staff follows all safety procedures and operates equipment properly.
  2. Cleaning Operations:
    • Oversee the cleanliness of all mall areas, including entrances, restrooms, hallways, food courts, parking lots, and offices.
    • Ensure regular cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal are completed on time.
    • Clean and sanitize restrooms, ensuring all supplies (e.g., soap, toilet paper, paper towels) are stocked and facilities are properly maintained.
  3. Quality Control:
    • Inspect and assess the mall’s cleanliness regularly to ensure high standards are maintained.
    • Perform walk-throughs of the mall, identifying any areas that need additional attention or immediate cleaning.
    • Address any customer or tenant complaints regarding cleanliness and take corrective action when necessary.
  4. Inventory and Equipment Management:
    • Ensure the proper maintenance and functioning of cleaning equipment, reporting any malfunctions or needed repairs.
    • Monitor cleaning supplies inventory and ensure that adequate supplies are available.
    • Order cleaning supplies and equipment when required, keeping track of usage and budget.
  5. Safety and Compliance:
    • Ensure all cleaning operations are in compliance with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) and mall safety protocols.
    • Train staff on proper use of chemicals, equipment, and cleaning procedures to maintain safety standards.
