Harvest Healthcare Solutions is seeking compassionate, dependable, and dedicated individuals to join our team as Part-Time Respite Care Workers. In this rewarding role, you will provide supportive care and companionship to adults who may be transitioning from hospitals, rehabilitation centers, behavioral health programs, housing instability, or other life circumstances requiring short-term assistance.


About the Role

In this role, you will provide essential support to adults transitioning from hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, rehabilitation centers, behavioral health programs, correctional facilities, or other institutional settings. You will also provide valuable respite and support to families and caregivers, helping ensure individuals remain safe, comfortable, and connected to community resources. Your care helps individuals recover safely, maintain stability, and successfully reintegrate into the community.


This position is ideal for individuals with experience in caregiving, direct support, special education, behavioral support, or related human services fields.


Payrate: $19.00 per hour

Hours: 15 to 20 hour per week


Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate supervision and support in residential, community, or recuperative care settings
  • Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including:
  • Personal hygiene and grooming
  • Dressing and mobility assistance
  • Meal preparation and feeding assistance
  • Medication reminders
  • Toileting and personal care support
  • Monitor client well-being and report concerns to supervisors
  • Support individuals transitioning from healthcare, rehabilitation, behavioral health, or correctional settings
  • Encourage participation in appointments, community activities, and independent living tasks
  • Maintain accurate daily documentation and progress notes
  • Ensure a safe, respectful, and supportive environment
  • Follow all agency policies, safety protocols, and confidentiality requirements

Qualifications

Experience in any of the following areas is highly preferred:

  • Direct Support Professional (DSP)
  • Respite Worker
  • Caregiver
  • Home Care Aide
  • Personal Care Assistant
  • Behavioral Aide
  • CNA
  • Special Education Aide
  • Supported Living Services (SLS)
  • Independent Living Skills (ILS)
  • Human Services or Social Services

Minimum Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Previous caregiving, DSP, respite, teaching assistant, paraprofessional, or related experience required
  • Ability to pass DOJ Live Scan background clearance
  • Valid California Driver's License and reliable transportation
  • Ability to assist with mobility and personal care needs when necessary
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • CPR/First Aid certification preferred
  • TB clearance required before employment
