Job description

eFiling Specialist | part-time - remote
Healthcare Reimbursement, Equity, Paid Sick Time & Flexible Schedule
Why You Should Choose Steno
At Steno, we're growing fast and transforming the litigation technology industry with best-in-class court reporting, modern solutions that add value for lawyers, and an exceptional client experience. We partner with law firms to simplify complex workflows, deliver reliable outcomes and case insights, and to revolutionize a traditionally outdated space while we expand across the country.
  • Wins together - Stock options included. When Steno grows, you grow.
  • Constantly innovates with technology at our core - We are a modern organization solving real problems in an industry that needs a revolutionary approach.
  • Healthcare support - Your health is always a priority. We offer a monthly reimbursement to help offset the costs of covered healthcare insurance premiums.
  • Wellness & Mental Health - Shared benefits available to all employees to be used among them and their households.
  • Competitive Pay ($23-$27/hr) - Hourly compensation with real growth potential as you make your mark on a fast-growing team.
  • Meaningful perks - A work-supplied computer, a monthly stipend to cover internet costs, access to a company-provided 401k, and paid sick time.
  • Emphasizes values - be highly reliable, constantly innovate, and operate with a hospitality mindset

Why Litigation Support Services at Steno Is Different
  • Own the process from start to finish - handle eFiling with precision and accountability
  • Keep client orders on track - review, prepare, submit, and track filings while meeting deadlines
  • Be the problem-solver - prevent rejections, handle rush requests, apply critical thinking skills to our workflows and systems, and make sure nothing falls through the cracks
  • Communicate like a pro - keep clients, vendors, and teammates in the loop every step of the way
  • Work with cutting-edge tools - navigate eFiling portals like Journal Tech, Tyler Odyssey, LegalConnect, GreenFiling, and Legal CMS
  • Stay organized and on top of it all - manage multiple jobs, track SLAs, and maintain accurate records

You'll crush this role if you have a background in legal, litigation support, or attorney services, and a genuine interest in the details that keep complex workflows running smoothly. California, Texas, Washington, or multi-state eFiling service portals are preferred. Familiarity with legal document preparation and court filing procedures across different jurisdictions is a great foundation.
If you've worked with eFiling portals, Legal CMS platforms, or legal support vendors in any capacity, you'll feel right at home. We work across a range of tools and workflows, so adaptability and a willingness to learn go a long way here. Above all, we're looking for someone who communicates clearly, stays organized under pressure, and takes pride in getting the details right - whether you're working with clients, vendors, or teammates across the organization. We are looking for someone to provide coverage Monday through Friday, from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM PT, with some flexibility around working hours.
