Discover Mind Counseling Aid is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our team on a full-time basis. This remote role offers seasoned professionals in the mental health field an opportunity to deliver exceptional support to clients while enjoying the flexibility of a home-based work environment. With a competitive annual salary ranging from $90,000 to $100,000, this position not only provides financial stability but also a chance to grow professionally within a progressive organization.

About the Organization

At Discover Mind Counseling Aid, located in Paterson, New Jersey, we prioritize mental health and wellbeing for our diverse patient population. Our aim is to empower individuals by addressing their unique challenges through evidence-based therapeutic practices. As a dynamic outpatient facility, we are committed to maintaining the highest standards of care, ensuring our clients receive both proactive and reactive support tailored to their specific needs.

Work Environment

This position is entirely remote, allowing for a work-life balance that is hard to find in traditional office settings. Our counselors operate within a HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform, ensuring that patient confidentiality is upheld while providing care from the convenience of home. Flexible hours allow clinicians to personalize their schedules, including opportunities for evenings and weekends.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct individual, family, and group counseling sessions, utilizing therapeutic techniques to identify challenges and foster problem-solving skills in clients.
  • Utilize our cloud-based electronic health record (EHR) system to maintain accurate documentation and compliance for insurance reimbursementsโ€”including Medicare and Medicaid.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans for clients experiencing symptoms related to mental health, trauma, and dual diagnosis issues.
  • Focus on the metrics that matterโ€”measuring client progress and success, which contributes to improved outcomes across our patient population.
  • Engage in regular team meetings and training sessions to uphold clinical standards and share best practices with fellow clinicians.
  • Be proactive in reaching out to clients to encourage follow-up appointments, thereby enhancing treatment adherence and engagement.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clientele encompasses a broad spectrum of individuals experiencing various mental health challenges, from anxiety and depression to more complex traumas and dual diagnoses. As an LPC at Discover Mind Counseling Aid, you will play a pivotal role in providing comprehensive counseling services with an emphasis on empowerment and personal recovery. The culturally diverse nature of our client base requires sensitivity and adaptability in your therapeutic approach.

Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a closely related field is required.
  • Valid and unrestricted LPC license to practice in New Jersey.
  • A minimum of three years of direct experience providing mental health counseling services.
  • Strong proficiency in using technology for virtual sessions, with access to a reliable computer, internet connection, and web camera.
  • Capable of maintaining a consistent level of independence while effectively managing caseloads.
  • Successful completion of a thorough background check is mandatory.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience with a wide range of therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, and solution-focused therapy.
  • Familiarity with utilizing telehealth platforms for delivering virtual therapy.
  • Proficient in interacting with various insurance documentation and ensuring compliance with Medicaid and Medicare processes.
Compensation and Benefits
  • A competitive annual salary between $90,000 and $100,000, commensurate with education, experience, and specialization.
  • A comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and life insurance, as well as a robust 401(k) retirement plan with matching contributions.
  • Flexible scheduling options that allow you to design your work hours around personal commitments.
  • Access to professional development resources and potential reimbursement for continuing education.
  • Generous paid time off policy to ensure work-life balance and prevent burnout.
Career Growth Opportunities

Discover Mind Counseling Aid fosters an environment where career advancement is encouraged. Our clinicians have opportunities to engage in specialized training programs, obtain additional certifications, and take on leadership roles within the organization as they grow in their practice. Continuous learning and development are pivotal in our mission to provide top-tier mental health services.

Why Join Our Team

As part of Discover Mind Counseling Aid, you will engage in meaningful work that makes a positive impact on the lives of individuals in your community.
