Position Summary

The HR Generalist at Oak View Group will have a broad scope of responsibilities, from new account hiring and recruiting support, onboarding, employee relations, and other duties as assigned. This position will support the OVG HR Business Partner team in all aspects of administrative and strategic HR functions, focusing on proactive employee relations and field support for venues in need of HR assistance. 

This role pays an hourly rate of $36.00

This position will remain open until November 13, 2026.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with local and national regulations and applicable employment laws.
  • Maintain knowledge of all applicable leave and accommodation laws, including the FMLA, ADA, and state and local laws.
  • Train new HR team members on systems or processes for new accounts.
  • Under the guidance of the senior HR team, investigate complaints and manage initial employee relations issues, including documentation, resolution recommendations, disciplinary actions, policy enforcement, and terminations.
  • Handle all administrative onboarding tasks, including meeting with new hires to review new hire paperwork, review benefits information, and answer questions.
  • Provide policy and procedure guidance and interpretation to employees and business leaders.
  • Act as a liaison between Corporate HR functions and the field, answer questions, and share feedback.
  • Provide support and guidance to the People Operations Transition Lead with the recruitment process.
  • Assists with special HR projects, as directed by the VP-HR.
  • Provide general administrative support to the OVG HRBP team.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor of Arts / Sciences degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, a related major, or equivalent experience (preferred).
  • 2-3+ years of diversified HR experience.
  • Specialized professional training a plus (PHR or SPHR preferred).
  • Ability to travel to support accounts.
  • Ability to adhere to the highest standards of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.
  • Strong working knowledge of Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) applications.
  • Working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment/labor laws and regulations.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency using Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Ability to represent oneself and the company in a professional and positive manner in all situations.
  • Working knowledge of HR best practices, including industry-specific HR best practices.
