Scrapyard Laborer

Baden, PA

Three Rivers Recycling is a private family-owned scrap metal company serving the Pittsburgh and surrounding area. With our 42 years of experience, we are the top metal recycling company in the area.

We are currently seeking part-time Scrapyard Laborers to join our team in Baden, PA! As a Scrapyard Laborer you will be responsible for sorting metal, assisting customers, and support daily warehouse operations in a hands-on recycling environment.

Schedule & Pay:

  • $15-$17 per hour (offer dependent on experience)
  • Approximately 30 hours per week
  • Flexible scheduling
  • Off on major holidays and Sundays

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Experience identifying metals is a plus
  • Scrapyard experience is a plus
  • Must be able to perform physical laborer in a yard environment
  • Able to lift at least 50 lbs
  • Comfortable work in various weather conditions

Responsibilities:

  • Sort and identify different types of scrap metals
  • Assist customers with unloading materials
  • Assemble gaylord boxes, handle pallets and barrels
  • Mark weights and move materials to designated warehouse locations
  • Prepare scrap for shipping (wrapping, banding, palletizing)
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment (sweeping, trash removal, tool organization)
  • Clean and maintain scales
