Real Estate Processing Specialist I
LOCATION: Meridian Office DIVISION: CMXO
FUNCTION DESCRIPTION:
The Real Estate Processing Specialist will support the Real Estate Processing Department by receiving and distributing loan conditions. The Processor will review Home Equity loans for income, home valuations and title reports in accordance with Bellco procedures and guidelines. The Processing Specialist may assist in scheduling loan closings, preparing closing documents and assist in funding loans. This role plays an important part in providing best in class service to our members. This position will work in collaboration with other departments and partners.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:
Reports to: Supervisor, Real Estate Processing
Supervises: none
Contacts: All levels of credit union employees, internal and external auditors, and vendors.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
Experience:
      • 2 years' experience in real estate lending
      • Knowledge of real estate lending and processing with an understanding of loan to value calculations, debt to income calculations, valuation reviews and title reviews.

Education: Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience preferred
Skills:
      • Must possess strong communication, organizational, presentation, member service and interpersonal skills.
      • Make sound decisions based upon department procedures, company guidelines and policies.
      • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, while still being detailed and results oriented.
      • Demonstrates strong analytical/problem solving and time-management skills
      • Strong PC skills to include Microsoft Word, Excel, and Real estate origination systems

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  1. Demonstrates Bellco's Act Nice Behaviors and Core Values in all interactions with members, prospective members, and personnel in other Bellco departments.
  2. Completes activities and SLA goals associated with Real Estate - Processing Responsible for the thorough review of loan documents provided by the members and 3rd party vendors to satisfy required conditions which includes income documents, title, and appraisal reports.
  3. Manages and distributes loan conditions which are received through a variety of channels
  4. Daily communication with members to provide updates and expectations throughout the loan process.
  5. Educate members on Home Equity products and assist members with all inquiries.
  6. Utilize internal reports and dashboards to maintain required service levels and ensure all daily tasks are completed.
  7. May assist in scheduling loan closings and may assist in drawing closing documents and funding loans as well as various post-closing document reviews.
  8. Work in collaboration with other team members in Home Equity and other business areas
  9. Prepare and participate in regular pipeline reviews with management to ensure daily tasks are met.
  10. Assist with coverage for co-workers to maintain member communication and processes to meet service level agreements.
  11. Ensure compliance with regulatory, and Agency requirements including but not limited to RESPA, Homeowner's Protections Act of 1998, SCRA, Fair Credit Legislation, HMDA, and CFPB.
  12. Deliver best in class member experience within all loan channels and points of contact.
