Job Description:

Cortina Solutions is seeking a part-time Project Manager to oversee contractor personnel and activities supporting the United States Coast Guard in Mobile, Alabama. The Project Manager will serve as the primary point of contact between Cortina and the Government Contracting Officer (CO) and Contracting Officer's Representative (COR), ensuring effective coordination, compliance, and execution of contract requirements.

This position will play a critical role in managing performance, supporting reporting requirements, and maintaining alignment with Government policies and expectations.

Responsibilities include:

    • Serve as the primary interface between Cortina and the Contracting Officer and COR for all matters related to contract performance
    • Provide oversight and coordination of contractor personnel supporting the effort
    • Ensure contract requirements are executed in accordance with Government policies, procedures, and expectations
    • Collect weekly activity updates from assigned personnel to support invoice validation and contract reporting requirements
    • Support verification of employee timesheets and coordination with Government representatives for required approvals
    • Respond to Government requests for discussion or resolution of technical or administrative issues within required timeframes
    • Ensure contractor personnel comply with applicable safety, security, and facility regulations while working at Government locations
    • Promote professional standards of conduct and appearance among assigned personnel
    • Ensure contractor staff understand and follow Department of Homeland Security rules, policies, and procedures
    • Coordinate with designated alternate Project Manager, as required, to maintain continuity of contract oversight during absences

Job Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
    • Minimum of 5+ years of project management or contract support experience supporting Government programs
    • Demonstrated experience coordinating personnel and supporting contract execution in a federal environment
    • Ability to serve as the primary point of contact for Government stakeholders
    • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-resolution skills
    • Ability to respond to Government inquiries within established response timelines
    • Proficiency in written and spoken English
    • Ability to obtain and maintain any required site access credentials
    • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD SECRET security clearance
    • U.S. CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED

Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience supporting Department of Homeland Security or U.S. Coast Guard programs
    • Familiarity with contractor timekeeping validation and invoice support processes
    • Experience managing geographically distributed or multi-functional support staff
