Job description

LHH is seeking an experienced payroll professional to oversee payroll accuracy, compliance, and complex processing needs. This role serves as a final reviewer, problem-solver, and key partner to HR and Finance. This is a temporary, part-time engagement that can either be hybrid or onsite. The manager is looking for someone who has strong payroll processing experience, someone with ADP Workforce Now knowledge, and someone who can communicate with all levels of the organization. The team needs someone immediately so this role offers a quick interview process. Key Responsibilities
  • Review and approve payroll prior to submission
  • Handle complex payroll issues
  • Ensure compliance with payroll laws and changing regulations
  • Partner with payroll vendors and manage escalations
  • Audit payroll for accuracy and identify trends or discrepancies
  • Maintain internal controls and mitigate risk/fraud
  • Provide guidance on ambiguous payroll scenarios
  • Collaborate with HR/Finance on policies and pay practices
  • Train and support payroll staff
Qualifications
  • Five or more years of payroll experience, including payroll review/approval
  • Strong knowledge of multi-state payroll and compliance
  • Experience with complex payroll scenarios
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
  • Experience with payroll systems and vendors
  • CPP preferred
Pay Details: $33.00 to $37.00 per hour
