Baystate Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department at Baystate Medical Center, Springfield, Massachusetts. Our Emergency Department has diverse pathologies and acuity as we serve over 122,000 adult and pediatric patients annually. Our 72,000 square foot ED is equipped with 94 private rooms, separate pediatric ED, separate behavioral health rooms and top-of-the-line technology. BMC is a major referral care center and the only Level 1 trauma center and pediatric trauma center in the area.
The Registered Nurse role offers the opportunity for meaningful impact while supporting patients, serving the community and collaborating with a specialized team.
The Registered Nurse Will:
  • Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide expected standards of care based on physical, psychosocial, cultural, educational spiritual, safety, and age-appropriate considerations of patients.
  • Assumes responsibility for the patient's plan of care and is held accountable for decisions specific to the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the plan of care.
  • Provides care directly to patients and in collaboration with other healthcare team members.
  • Maintains a current level of knowledge and skill with technical procedures as defined by the nursing specialty organization, complies with all regulations and standards of regulatory and accrediting bodies, and is currently licensed in the state of Massachusetts as a registered nurse.
