Job description

Position Summary: Patient Assistance Liaison, Part-time 24 Hours Per Week, Nights 11 pm to 7:30 am Lawrence campus

The Patient Transporter assists patients with transfer between different areas of the hospital for testing, admission, discharge, or other reasons. Also distributes equipment and supplies to appropriate departments.

  • Assists patients of varying mobility using transfer techniques and/or lifting devices, when needed
  • Maintains cleanliness of equipment and ensures it is stored properly
  • Communicates relevant information effectively to hospital departments and management
  • Works closely with nursing to maintain patient safety 

Minimum Qualifications

Required: High school diploma or equivalent, prior medical and/or customer service experience preferred
