Overnight Patient Assistance Program Jobs (NOW HIRING)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Support company operations, including but not limited to:

• Understand and navigate the complexities of various patient assistance programs, grants, co-pay programs, and charities that patients may be eligible for.
• Coordinate enrollment process for the OPN patient assistance program with patients, providers, and foundation representatives.
• Manage consistent communication with patients, provider offices, drug manufacturers regarding enrollment and treatment status
• Communicate with insurance and drug companies regarding prior authorizations and benefit information
• Organize and maintain all incoming data pertaining to patient assistance, including but not limited to incoming and outgoing faxes and emails
• Communicate with oncology provider offices to maintain treatment schedules and ensure proper drug ordering
• Prioritize time sensitive information and ensure it is forwarded to appropriate department within and outside of the company
• Engages in research for eligible drug assistance programs
• Provides a supportive financial advocate role for referred patients
• Conducts routine check-ins with referred patients to ensure their care is being managed efficiently
• Onboards and guides patients through OPN's patient support platform

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

• Must have over one (1) year of healthcare experience – experience with administrative and clinical aspects of healthcare preferred
• Work-related experience in a health insurance or payor setting is desired
• Work-related experience in a pharmaceutical setting is desired
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent required; degree in a related field preferred

• Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
• Must be well organized, detail-oriented, able to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have exceptional customer service skills – this is an external facing position that interfaces with patients, providers, and personnel of pharmaceutical and insurance companies.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone
• Ability to manage priorities of a daily fluctuating workflow.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and willingness to work as part of a team
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Zoom, and related software
• Experience with EMR systems preferred
• Ability to maintain confidentiality while working with patient medical information
• Bilingual fluency in English and another language is highly preferred
