Full-Time or Part-Time | In-Office (Remote eligible for current and former Ameriprise employees) candidates must reside in PST or MST time zones


About Us

Teranishi Practice, a Private Wealth Advisory Practice of Ameriprise Financial, is seeking a Paraplanner to join our growing, client-focused team. We are committed to delivering personalized, comprehensive financial planning with professionalism, precision, and care.

This position plays a central role in supporting financial planning operations, advisor workflows, and overall client experience. The role is structured to build upon individual strengths and offers long-term career development opportunities within the practice.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare for client meetings, including compiling reports and follow-up materials
  • Draft and send client communications, including follow-up emails and documentation
  • Answer and route phone calls, providing prompt responses to client inquiries
  • Process trades and transactions (solicited trades require advisor approval if unlicensed)
  • Assist with account openings, money movement, and form preparation
  • Maintain accurate client records in CRM and manage eMeeting scheduling
  • Support advisors in ongoing client relationship management
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure operational efficiency

Qualifications

  • Prior financial services experience preferred; Ameriprise practice experience a plus
  • Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); Salesforce experience preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to client confidentiality and professional ethics
  • Licensing (Series 7, 66, Life & Health) a plus but not required—must be willing and able to obtain licenses

Compensation & Benefits

  • $28–$33 per hour, based on experience
