Job description

Ready to suit up as a Special Operations Group, Tactical Security Guard

What matters most in a role like this is your ability to read the environment, anticipate risk and act accordingly. Your keen sense of observation and strong social skills are your greatest strengths.

As a Tactical Special Operations Group , Security Guard, physical ability is essential as you will be moving around your entire shift, patrolling environments such as retail stores, airports, security facility centers, etc.

Schedule- Full-time available for rotational shifts

Location-Hamilton, Burlington region

Responsibilities for Special Operations Group, Tactical Security Guard
  • Cover multiple sites as required, stepping in when other officers are booked off or unavailable.
  • Follow and enforce post orders and site-specific security protocols at every location.
  • Respond immediately to any incidents or alarms, including elevated voices or disturbances, ensuring safety and de-escalation.
  • Conduct regular interior and exterior patrols, including parking lots, to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor CCTV systems, alarm panels, and other security equipment to maintain site security.
  • Maintain professional, friendly, and approachable interactions with staff, clients, and visitors.
  • Report all incidents, suspicious activities, and maintenance issues accurately and promptly.
  • Assist in emergency situations according to established procedures, including lockdowns or evacuations.
  • Participate in ongoing training under the assigned Account Manager to remain proficient in multi-site operations.
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and company policies at all times.
Qualifications for Special Operations Group, Tactical Security Guard
  • Be authorized to work in Canada
  • Hold a valid security license
  • First aid certification required
  • 1 year of minimum security guard experience
  • Able to make decisions independently while adhering to post orders 
  • Prior security experience preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules across multiple sites.
  • Strong communication, observation, and de-escalation skills.
  • Ability to stand and walk throughout shift.
