8770 Lifestyle Fitness CenterSupervises operations of The Lifestyle Fitness Center in the absence of the Director and Operations Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

License /Certification
Required: Heartsaver AED
Preferred: Current certification by a national organization in exercise training


Education
Required: High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred: Applicable education in the health and fitness industry


Experience
Required: At least six months of supervisory/leadership experience or six months of previous employment with The Lifestyle Fitness Center.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Good oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrates resourcefulness in problem solving.
Self motivated and possesses the ability to motivate others.
Must be able to maintain a positive, enthusiastic, professional team oriented attitude at all times.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential
Relieves Control Desk, Fitness Desk, Customer Service Desk, Weight Room, and Membership staff for breaks and lunches.
Circulates through the facility hourly picking up towels, magazines, and trash. Notifies Manager of problems, complaints or areas of concern.
Contacts relief staff, reschedules appointments, and/or fills position, assuming responsibilities in the event of staff absence.
Supervises operations of the facility in the absence of the Director and Operations Manager.
Handles member/staff complaints and conflicts between members/staff.
Answers the phone and takes messages.
Greets members, takes/returns membership cards, and enters member information into the computer system for utilization.
Collects membership payments.
Conducts facility tours and explains services of The Lifestyle Center.
Signs up new memberships.
Sells merchandise.
Cleans cafe area, makes coffee, and restocks supplies when the cafe has closed.
Stocks clean towels and changes dirty towel bags when house keeping is unavailable.
Schedules appointments.
Cleans exercise equipment recording damages or needed repairs, organizes weight trees, straightens the weight room, picks up towels, magazines and debris.
Ensures safety of children in child care at all times.
Orients new members to weight and cardiovascular equipment.
Develops weight resistance programs for members.
Answers general questions regarding exercise and nutrition.
Circulates through the fitness area assisting members when needed.
Assists in marketing and solicitation of sales for The Lifestyle Center's services.
Additional
Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care and services appropriate to the population served on the assigned unit or work area.
Performs other duties as assigned.

$20.00 -$30.00
