Position Title: Operations Assistant

Classification: Part-Time, Non-Exempt Position

Reports to: Director of Operations

Salary Range: $20-$25

Position Description

Exciting Opportunity: Join Us as a Part-Time Team Member! We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Operations Assistant to join our team. This position supports daily business operations and plays a key role in ensuring compliance and organizational efficiency.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Processes various administrative documents, including certificates of insurance, permit applications, and other compliance-related forms.
  • Tracks expenses.
  • Prepares reports.
  • Manages various email communications
  • Coordinate relationships with key vendors, including IT services and copier/printer providers, keeping the Director of Operations informed as needed.
  • Assist with event and operational logistics as needed
  • Position is primarily based in the Commack office, with seasonal support at Camp Edey (Bayport) (approximately 1โ€“2 days per week during spring and summer).
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Highly organized
  • Strong multi-tasking skills, with the ability to work independently, take initiative, and follow tasks through to completion without constant oversight
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills, good judgment, and the ability to address issues as they arise proactively
  • Comfortable working in an environment where priorities may shift, and flexibility is essential.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
  • Able to lift 30 pounds

Schedule:

  • 25 hours a week
  • Monday to Friday
  • May work one day remotely after successfully completing three months of employment.
